All of God’s attributes are worthy of praise: His love and faithfulness, His grace and mercy. And while I praise Him and love him for all those things, I thank Him for His redeeming power. No matter what kind of situation you find yourself in, whether it is within your control or not, God can redeem it for His glory and your benefit.
I’ve seen it in my own life. The first of my two favorite Scriptures regarding this is Joel 2:25-“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten”. God promised the nation of Israel that even though their present seemed bleak and depressing, He was going to redeem it and bless them once more. The second Scripture is Genesis 50:20-“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good”. Even though at times it seems the whole world is against you, God is for you and he will redeem your situations and struggles for your good.
